Once you have been without chains in a snow storm (Lake Tahoe, CA in January) you swear it will never happen again. I bought 2 pairs (front AND back tires) for my Jeep Liberty. Maybe alittle overkill, but pushing your rental car uphill for 1 mile until a nice driver gives you a pull will scar you for life. These are easier to put on than other cheaper and thinner chains. Once you practice in a dry setting once, you get the set up easily. Comes in a nice case. Used it once already and was totally satisfied.
